Prepare
Soon after the application deadline, the lottery log will be generated. Applicant outreach and eligibility determination is done in log number order. These numbers are generated randomly by the system, meaning the date you applied does not determine your place in the log. Once the log has been generated, you will be able to access this information by logging into your Housing Connect profile.
Wait to Be Contacted
It can take anywhere from 2 to 10 months (or more) to hear back about your application. Sometimes you might not hear back even if you qualify, simply due to how far down the lottery log you are and the number of available apartments.
What if I never hear back? Due to the volume of applicants, you may not hear back if your log number is not reached for processing. The status of your application can be accessed by logging into your Housing Connect profile. As soon as your place in the log is reached for processing, you will be contacted by an Eligibility Specialist for additional documentation and next steps.
Check your current lease
If you’re offered an apartment, you may need to move quickly.
